[Sanskrit: Yogic sleep] This class will begin with a few gentle stretches to release tension and loosen the body. You will then find a comfortable supine position in which to remain as still as possible for the duration of the practice. Yoga Nidra is the meditative heart of Yoga and aims to guide you via sensory awareness through the layers of the body into a deep state of relaxation much like being asleep- except that you are completely conscious. This deliciously restorative practice helps to reduce stress, anxiety and cortisol levels, improve sleep quality and increase focus and cognitive performance. It is common to emerge from this practice with a deep sense of peace and equanimity.

Yoga Flow

 

A dynamic, flowing sequence of asanas combined with pranayama (breath control) for awakening and experiencing the mind-body connection. In this class a variety of options will be given so that you can participate at your own pace and in a way that feels good for your own body and being. The class will conclude with a short meditation or relaxation where you can be present with your body and if you wish, sink deeply into an awareness of stillness and connection beyond the body.
